LGBT+ History Month NHS Event: Science and Innovation – For NHS all colleagues

Join us for a thought-provoking LGBT+ History Month session focused on science, innovation, and lived experience.

The afternoon will feature:

• LGBTQIA+ Lives That Changed History – Explore the remarkable contributions of LGBTQIA+ individuals, including Alan Turing, and reflect on how their innovations and courage have shaped the world we live in today.

• Out in STEM: An NHS Perspective – Gain personal insight from an LGBTQIA+ professional navigating a career in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) within the NHS and the community. Hear about the challenges faced, moments of achievement, and what it takes to thrive in environments that aren’t always inclusive.

Delegates can expect an inspiring mix of history, storytelling, and practical reflection on inclusion, representation, and the ongoing importance of visibility in science and healthcare. This event is open to all NHS colleagues.
