LGBT History Month Fares Brilliantly in Wales Awards

Schools OUT UK and LGBT History Month member Kate Hutchinson and LGBT History Month patron Gareth Thomas featured in the 2018 Pinc List top 40.
Schools OUT UK CEO Tony Fenwick said he was delighted. “Kate is a tremendous and tireless advocate for the trans-community and for intersectionality. As well as working with us she runs Wipe Out Transphobia and goes into schools with Diversity Role Models debunking myths about LGBT people. Gareth has gone from being a national rugby icon to being an icon for equality; taking on one battle after another to secure LGBT equality in society and in sport. Currently he is working to amend the 1991 Football Offences Act so it puts homophobic and transphobic abuse on a par with racist abuse in football. We are so proud to have them on board.”
Tony also expressed delight that Russell T. Davies, Lisa Power and Paul Dillane were on the list. “Russell has always supported us in our work with Spotlight Productions to bring a history to life through drama. Lisa was a co-founder of Stonewall and remains a stalwart campaigner. Paul Dillane’s work as CEO of Kaleidoscope if crucial to progressing LGBT rights and opportunities in the international community. Well done all.”
