Film Screening – DUSK

Jake Graf is an Award-Winning transgender actor, writer and film director – whose first four award winning films, ‘XWHY’, ‘Brace’, ‘Chance’ and ‘Dawn’ have all been nominated for The Iris Prize, and have screened at over 100 festivals worldwide. His recent acting roles include parts in Tom Hooper’s ‘The Danish Girl’ and upcoming web series ‘Spectrum’ and ‘Different For Girls’, and short film ‘Love Without Boundaries’, in which he played a trans woman, and also Jake was listed on The Independent’s Rainbow List, The Guardian’s Pride Power List for his activism and visibility within the trans community and all the Top 100 OutList, where he is the only UK trans male.
Jake has written, featured and directed short-film, DUSK, which is to launch early January 2017. The film contains five transgender actors, both trans and cisgender roles, with Blue singer, Duncan James and US star Elliott Sailors, as the leads. The short-film defines the underlying message of issues of homophobia, transphobia, disability, and the tough decision of whether medical transition is the right thing to do.
The film is 16 minutes long, with a great messaging throughout.
