Come and find out about objects with LGBTQ histories from across the British Museum’s collection. Listen to a series of specialist talks giving insight into specific objects, the stories they can tell and the different ways they can be interpreted. Talk to the curators of a special LGBTQ display scheduled for May–October 2017, who will discuss their work exploring and questioning the objects in the Museum’s collection through an LGBTQ lens. Hear about some of the fantastic objects that will be in the display and the reasons behind the curator’s choices.
Families can get involved in arts and crafts activities focusing on objects that have LGBTQ stories to tell.
This event is free of charge.
Just drop in on the day and ask for more information at the Information Desk in the Museum’s Great Court.
