A 3 Minute Theatre play ‘This Is How We Got Here’ has been filmed, showing the history of LGBT Youth North West, a youth group supporting Manchester and the wider community since 1974.
Alongside the play there are talking heads interviews with LGBT History Month Chair Sue Sanders, who discusses the political processes that led up to Section 28; an LGBT YNW volunteer talking about local hero Joyce Layland; Andrew Dobbin on an affirmative action in the classroom; Amelia Lee on the LGBT activism trail; and Peter Tatchell on the importance of an LGBT inclusive Sex and Relationships education programme in schools.
