Robbie Rogers, the only surviving ‘out’ gay professional footballer, used his one-day return to Elland Road on Saturday to promote ‘Beyond IT!’ a new initiative challenging through challenging stereotypes.
The fledgling not-for-profit project claims its philosophy “…is centered around moving humanity beyond the labels & stereotypes that limit us and toward our innate human dignity, value and worth.
“We are a future focused organization,” it adds, “but we are structured to fuel like-minded initiatives presently taking a stand against all forms of human discrimination, to make this world better.”
The website (click link above) invites guests to make a mission statement of their own and to suggest organisations that support equal opportunities by combatting prejudice.
