Schools OUT and LGBT History Month Co-Chair Sue Sanders has won a place in one of the nation’s most prestigious and authoritative LGBT heroes lists.
The World Pride Power List, published by The Guardian and Square Peg Media, awarded Sue 54th place with the words: “Sanders has fought oppression in the public and third sectors for more than 30 years. She implemented LGBT History Month, now in its 9th year”.
The list features a range of movers and shakers from the LGBT community, from unsung heroes and hardine activists to celebrities who promote our community. The top five are:
1. Ellen DeGeneres
2. Stephen Fry
3. Jane Lynch
4. Clare Balding
5. Tim Cook.
Peter Tatchell was given 11th place.
