The UK answer to Will and Grace, Vicious is about to hit our screens.
Created by Mark Ravenhill, scripted by Gary Janetti (Will and Grace; Family Guy) and starring Ian McKellen, Derek Jacobi and Frances DeLa Tour, the sitcom should be well-crafted and well-acted.
It centres around a sofa with two gay men who have been together for 48 years on it. Bitter and twisted, the couple’s vitriolic one liners form the basis of the comic content. It’s said the original title was Vicious Old Queens, but ITV1 thought better of it.
Vicious airs Monday, April 29th on ITV1 at 9pm. It was made by Brown Eyed Boy Productions and Kudos.
