Richard Adams Dies

One of the world’s longest campaigners for same sex marriage has died. Richard Adams married his partner Tony Sullivan in Colorado in 1975. His marriage was legal within the state but when he sought to have his partner – who is Australian – recognised as his spouse a legal battle that has never ended was set-off. The couple were once described as “faggots” in a US legal document and have faced the threat of deportation all their lives.
