LGBT History Month USA’s first weekend’s icons are the late athlete Glenn Burke and the late artist Paul Cadmus. Glenn Burke was a black baseball player who refused to hide his sexual orientation. sadly this brought an untimely end to his career. Paul Cadmus also refused to hide his sexual orientation, and the American navy banned some of his work.
