One Gold for Hester

British openly gay equestrian Olympian Carl Hester will have to satisfy himself with one gold after being consigned to 4th position in the individual dressage on Thursday August the 9th.
Two days earlier, Hester’s and his team-mates Laura Bechtolsheimer and Charlotte Dujardin took gold in the team dressage, but despite his horse, Utopia, dancing to Handel’s Zadok the Priest he had to satisfy himself with fourth place.
British rider Charlotte Dujardin won gold;  Dutch rider Adelinde Cornelissen took silver, while Britain’s Laura Bechtolsheimer and Mistral Hojris won bronze.
Tonight – August the 10th – we need to be cheering for Matthew Mitcham in the Men’s diving preliminary round starting at 7pm.
While we’re at it, is anyone doing an LGBT medal table?
