LGBT History Month Goes to Downing Street

LGBT History Month co-chair Sue Sanders and Schools OUTs schools officer and Educate and Celebrate founder Elly Barnes went to Downing Street on The 24th of July as guests of the PM to celebrate World Pride.
Sue said, “It was a great opportunity to celebrate The Schools OUT Classroom and out great work in teacher training. This is out fifth visit to Downing Street and shows what strides we have made in entering the mainstream.”
Addressing several attendees from the LGBT community, mainly celebrities and people from the volunteer and charity scetors, Prime Minister David Cameron reasserted his support for same sex marriage and said he was determined to see it in law by 2015. “If (marriage) is good enough for straight people like me”, he said, “it’s good enough for everyone.”
