Felix Still in Britain as Escorts refuse to Take Him away

Felix Wamala, the Ugandan gay due to be deported last night, has been given some relief after his escorts refused to take him from Colnbrook Detention Centre to the waiting plane. This means his deportation ‘has not been effected’ but the Borders Agency will be keen to get him out of the country as soon as possible before any paperwork can get in their way.
Mr Wamala’s MP Stephen Timms (Labour) has written to the Immigration Minister Damian Green asking for a reprieve.
