Provides a holistic approach to addressing homophobia. Offers youth services, counselling, mental health, HIV and sexual health serices.

Age Concern
The UK’s largest charity working with and for older people. Has a comprehensive list of resources and links for older LGBT people, and runs the Opening Doors Project, an older LGBT support group.
End the Fear
Manchester NHS City-Wide Domestic Violence Project website.
Broken Rainbow
Support for LGBT people experiencing domestic violence. Currently providing links to other national domestic violence helplines.
LGBT Centre for Health and Wellbeing
Offers a variety of information and support for LGBT individuals seeking to improve their health and wellbeing. Currently runs LGBT specific courses including: positive wellbeing and relaxation, stopping smoking and chronic illness self-management.
Regard: National Organisation of Disabled LGBT People
Regard aims to raise awareness of disability issues within the LGBT communities, and to raise awareness of sexuality issues within the disability communities. We also work to combat social isolation amongst our membership, and to campaign on issues specifically affecting disabled LGBT people.
PACE: Promoting LG Health and Wellbeing
Promotes the mental health and emotional wellbeing of the LGBT community. Services include: counselling, employment coaching, family support, mental health advocacy, workshops and groups, youth work and training.
Kairos in Soho
Community development organisation that provides services and activities that promotes and supports the health and well-being of LGBT people.
LGB Mind Matters
Looking at LGB mental health issues including: coming out, suicide, HIV/AIDS, depression, relationships and ageing.
Pink Therapy
Pink Therapy is an independent therapy organisation working with gender and sexual minority clients. Promotes high quality therapy and training services for people who are LGBT and others who identify as other sexual minorities.
Queer Notions
Promotes the mental health and well being of LGB people. Offers a safe place where LGB people can find out more about issues around their mental health and well-being. Campaigns for improved relevant mental health care and actively challenges homophobia in the mental health system.
Samaritans
Provides confidential non-judgemental emotional support for people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those which could lead to suicide.
Gay and Lesbian Association of Doctors and Dentists
GLADD holds regular social events, educational meetings, regional networking, informal support and advice, and provides a fully interactive members-only website. Membership is open o all doctors, dentists, medical student and dental students who support their aims.
Royal College of Nursing
The RCN represents nurses and nursing, promotes excellence in practice and shapes health policies.
UNISON
UNISON’s LGBT members website that works on new laws, equality handbooks, health, trans resources and discrimination.
Naz Project London

Provides sexual health and HIV prevention and support services to targeted Black and Minority Ethnic communities in London. NPL aims to educate and empower communities to face up to the challenges of sexual health and the AIDS pandemic.
African HIV Policy Network
Represents African community groups addressing HIV/AIDS and sexual health throughout the UK.
London Friend
London Friend promotes the social, emotional, physical and sexual health and well being of LGB people including transgender people who identify as LGB and all those unsure of their sexuality. Offers counselling and support services which explores issues of same sex relationships, sexual identity and promotes personal growth and self-confidence.
Terrence Higgins Trust
THT was one of the first charities to be set up in response to the HIV epidemic. Currently runs programmes to tackle poor sexual health including: information and advice, counselling, group support, managing your health, HIV testing, and practical support services.
Alzheimer’s Society LGBT Support Group
A telephone helpline service staffed by gay men and by lesbians to help with the needs of older gay men and lesbian women and those caring for a relative, partner or friend with any type of dementia, including Aids-related dementia. Their trained and skilled volunteers are able to offer a listening ear.
Wise Thoughts: Health Wise
Wise thoughts offers a range of culturally appropriate solution for Community Based Organisations, Non Governmental Organisations, Voluntary Sector Organisations and statutory organisations working within the health sector. Offers consultancy services, workshops and helps develop innovative programme packages.
