House of Lords votes against mandatory sex and relationship education in schools – The House of Lords has rejected a Labour party amendment that would have made sex and relationship education mandatory in schools.

The initiative, Football v Homophobia (FvH), aims to unite fans, players, communities, and the football authorities in opposing homophobia and prejudice against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in football.

Premier League Clubs Refuse To Wear Anti-Homophobia Rainbow Laces – Several Premier League clubs will not wear rainbow laces in support of the charity Stonewall, amid concerns a betting firm is capitalising on the issue of homophobia in football. The news comes only a couple of days after Schools OUT UK and several other groups who have been campaigning against homophobia in sport for several years voiced their concerns over the wording of a slogan.
