Section 28 and Its Legacies
A panel event on Thursday 24 May, 6-8pm, at UCL Darwin Lecture Theatre, Gower Street, London WC1E 6XA
Panelists include Professor Emeritus Sue Sanders (Chair of Schools OUT UK), Mark Delacour (METRO), Savitri Hensman (formerly Black Lesbian and Gay Centre, Haringey Lesbian and Gay Sub-Committee), Veronica McKenzie (Reel Brit Productions) and Julie Parker (Outhouse London).
The event will take the following format: an introduction and very short montage of photographs/video clips to set the scene; short (5 mins) reflections from the panelists; screening of a short segment from Veronica McKenzie’s documentary ‘Under the Nose’; further discussion among panelists; open up to floor for q&a; drinks reception.
