Campaigner Fights in Court for Third Gender Passport Recognition

A campaigner is going to court this month to have per gender identity recognised on per UK Passport. Christie Elan-Cane, who uses the aforementioned pronoun and has been struggling for gender neutrality to be recognised on British official documents for 25 years, is waiting for the judicial review full hearing at London’s Law Courts on 18-19 April. If it goes per way, Britain will join the nations that already recognise non-binary gender identity on passports: Malta, Argentina, Colombia, Denmark, Australia, New Zealand, India, Nepal, Germany and Bangladesh.
