NO 2 LGBT HATE CRIME: Reclaim Vauxhall

After a homophobic attack, help me reclaim our LGBT-friendly space back in Vauxhall by walking with me, friends and family holding hands.
Last Sunday, my partner and I had homophobic abuse and a threat of violence used against us whilst walking along the river Thames with an arm around each other in Vauxhall. We were then followed to a pub where two of the boys came in, one holding some sort of weapon.
The police came but the group had left. …
I need to reclaim this space for me and our community, I need to feel comfortable holding hands or simply having an arm over each others shoulders.
Will you walk with me?
Meet outside the Pret a manger by Vauxhall Station by Vauxhall Bridge. Bring You, your partner and/or a friend and some HOPE.
Here is a Google Map and outline of the route that the walk is going to take on Sunday 24th Nov. Volunteer Stewards meeting at 4.30pm, Mayor arrives at 4.45pm, Walk begins at 5pm. Walk follows route that David and his partner were following when they were homophobically abused by the gang – we will pause by the entrance of the tunnel under Vauxhall Bridge for speeches, then proceed on to The Rose pub. The route is completely wheel-chair accessible.
