Rose Collis: her one-woman musical cabaret show ‘Trouser-Wearing Characters’ combines LGBT history, music and comedy. You can read more about the show – and the worldwide critical acclaim it’s received – here: http://www.rosecollis.com/trouser-wearing-characters-one-woman-musical-cabaret-show/ Technical requirements are minimal: it’s just Rose, plus two pop-up banners, a music stand, and a banjolele and its stand, all of which she carries with her. No amplification necessary in venues that have a seating capacity of less than 75, and it just requires good general cover lighting. She is constantly ‘refreshing’ the show – in response to LGBT news, such as the anti-gay legislation in Russia – and ‘interact’ with each audience, no two performances are ever quite the same.
