Report Suggests Dual Discrimination Hits Trans native Americans

Trans Native Indian and Alaskan American people are worse off across the board than the US trans community in general, according to a new report.
The report, Injustice at Every Turn: A Look at American Indian and Alaskan Native Respondents in the National Transgender Discrimination Survey, found that trans people from these communities are more likely to live in extreme poverty, more likely to be HIV-positive and are more likely to have attempted suicide than the wider trans community. They are also more likely to suffer from abuse, harassment and to be homeless. To read more, go here
