LGBT History Month Pre-Launch

The 2013 LGBT History Month Pre-Launch is on Thursday November the 15th  2012, at Bletchley Park

After 2 very successful and fruitful years of focusing on sport – alerting the government and sporting associations to the importance of LGBT participation, training and supporting in safety – we now turn to another challenging area: Maths, Science and Engineering.
The link is of course Alan Turing, it being the centenary of his birth this year 2012. He covered all 3 disciplines and he was also a marathon runner. His legacy to the twenty-first century is quite simply immeasurable.
The afternoon will include a debate on the role of the science in our community with contibutions from Christine Burns, Annika Joy, Linda Bellos and Jeff Evans. The evening’s speeches will include contributions from S. Barry Cooper, Bletchley Park CEO Iain Standen, Educate and Celebrate’s Elly Barnes and The Science Museum’s Annika Joy, as well as entertainment from the Norwich Rainbow Choir.
LGBT History Month – speakers
We will be celebrating him at the Pre-Launch on the 15th November at Bletchley Park, home of the code breakers, where he made his major contribution to
Computing and freedom!
The event is free to all. We will have stalls and speakers to help you design and inspire your event in February 2013.
This link allows you to:
book your ticket – for the afternoon and or evening event;
find out how to get there – which is relatively straightforward  as it’s a 5 minute walk from Bletchley Station.
