Bridging the gap between “Traditional Values” and the global LGBT community

Many countries in Eastern Europe are starting the process of legislating against LGBT rights through the argument of “Traditional Values” and “Propaganda”.
The same is happening in many African countries where there are debates on antihomosexual laws or proposing drafting bills for “re-criminalised” homosexual behaviours.

This increasing trend is obstructing the provision of sexual health services for LGBT people and further endangering the lives of LGBT rights defenders.
Human Rights Watch and Kaleidoscope Diversity Trust are holding an event to highlight these changes and come up with a possible  way forward,
exploring ways of negotiating a solution and building an enabling environment

We would like to invite you to join us at this event.

The panel speakers will be:
Boris Dittrich, Advocacy Director for Human Rights Watch’s LGBT division
Bisi Alimi, Africa Director at Kaleidoscope Diversity Trust
The meeting will be chaired by Kirsty McNeillformer Downing St Head of External Affairs
