Shulamith Firestone, a US writer who took a radical feminist perspective, has died aged 67. Her most famous work is regarded as The Dialectic of Sex, published in 1970. It defined patriarchy and looked to an age when women could be liberated from biological dependence on men and childbirth. To find out more, go here
