Belgrade Pride Parade has been banned for the second year running. United Serbia (JS) leader and MP Dragan “Palma” Marković has said that the Belgrade Pride Parade, planned for October 6, would not be held this year “for security reasons”. This was despite the surprise popularity of a Serbian comedy film about a gay couple who organise  a pride march in the capital. The rest of Belgrade Pride, a week long festival starting on the 30th of September, should go ahead as normal.
