London Mayor Boris Johnson has announced that he will not be attending World Pride this year, leaving organisers somewhat bemused as he helped the bid for London to host the WorldPride event back in 2009. Mr Johnson was criticised earlier in the week for refusing to intervene after Westminster Council ordered that the event be scaled down.
