National Trans Mental Health and Well-Being Survey

A survey has been launched to research and assess the needs of trans people across the nation. This survey is produced by a partnership between Scottish Transgender AllianceTrans Resource and Empowerment CentreTransBareAll and Sheffield Hallam University. It is based on the priniple that there has been very little research about trans people, or people with trans histories, and their well-being. What there is suggests that trans people have worse mental health and life satisfaction than many others, but it is not clear why. They think that trans well-being and mental health are very complicated, because trans people have to go through a lot of things that other people don’t experience, and these issues can all affect well-being and mental health. It is not a medical survey. To find out more and to take part go here
