Schools OUT Speaks OUT for IDAHO

International Day Against Homophobia (IDAHO) – the worldwide campaign to eradicate homophobia and transphobia and to decriminalise homosexuality – is held every year on May the 17th. This year  Schools OUT will be joining The Gay and Lesbian Humanist Association (GALHA) by taking part in a panel debate focusing on education to promote diversity and make our communities visible.
Before the debate, which will include music teacher and equalities trainer Elly Barnes of Stoke Newington Schools and Tony Fenwick, co-chair of Schools OUT, Tony will show some newly released DVDs that can be used to help educate ‘out’ homophobia and transphobia in the classroom.
OFSTED’s Janet Palmer will also be on the panel. The evnt will be held on Friday May the 18th at London’s Conway Hall. For more details go here
