Livingstone Launches LGBT Manifesto

Labour Mayoral Candidate Ken Livingstone has launched an LGBT Manifesto for the Capital in the run up to the Mayoral election on May the 3rd.
Promising to appoint an LGBT advisor and to bring the GLA back into the Stonewall Equality Index, Ken claims he will be the Mayor for Equality. His pledges also include a zero tolerance approach to hate crime; the return of the Annual pride Reception to City Hall (abolished by Boris Johnson) and stiff opposition to any cuts on LGBT groups and services imposed by central government.
Livingstone’s LGBT campaigner leader Neil Young introduced the manifesto, reminding voters that Boris Johnson’s apparent support for LGBT marriage needs to be seen in the context that he once compared it to bestiality and that he voted for the notorious Section 28.
