We at LGBT History Month would all like to wish a happy birthday to Peter Tatchell, who reached 60 on the 25th of January.
Peter has risked life and limb as well as enduring horrendous abuse over five decades to win us the freedoms that so many take for granted today. He is a living timeline. Doubtless he will be celebrating his birthday by planning a new campaign strategy to work toward marriage equality, reading turgid documents to find a legal loophole in deportation legislation or speaking out against some hypocrite or despicable dictator.
Happy Birthday Peter. We love you and we know we wouldn’t be here without you.
