Message of Support from Ken Livingstone

“February is LGBT History Month and is an opportunity to remember, commemorate and celebrate the enormous contribution the LGBT community has made to our rich and diverse society – and in particular in London which has the biggest LGBT population in Europe.
The initiative was launched by Schools Out in 2005 following the abolition of Section 28, the Tory amendment which outlawed the “promotion of homosexuality in schools” for a decade and a half.
LGBT History Month is also about renewing our commitment to tackling the oppression and discrimination the LGBT community continues to face in society today.”
Ken goes on to attack Tory cuts and announces his LGBT History Month session happening at Ken’s forthcoming Progressive London Conference on Saturday 19 February.
