Highlights
‘#What Would You Put in Your Queer Museum?’ If you could offer up one object to tell your story, what would that be? Queerator Dan Vo and Bishopsgate Archives’s Jeroen van Dijk facilitate a workshop that explores how collections can be more representative of the many voices of our diverse and beautiful LGBTIQA+ communities.
‘LGBTQI+ Narratives of Belief in the Oral History Interview’ An Interactive Talk utilising multi-media materials, by members of The Oral History Society’s LGBTQ Special Interest Group.
‘What Gender is God?’ The history of religion is gloriously queer!’ Join Cheryl Morgan for a fascinating talk that will begin with the start of human civilisation in the city states of Sumer, then look around the world and through history at a variety of religious beliefs. It will look at gods who are both male and female, who change gender, and who play with gender.
‘A Practical Guide to Searching LGBTQIA+ Historical Records’ Based around Norena Shopland’s development of her book A Practical Guide to Searching LGBTQIA+ Historical Records this session will instruct participants in recognising, and searching for, historic material.

This year’s conference will be hosted on Zoom. All attendees who have registered via the Eventbrite link will be sent a full programme and session booking form later in the autumn, via email. Please note that some sessions will have a limited capacity so early booking is advised. The Zoom link will be sent to you 48hrs before the conference.
Ticket Prices
London Metropolitan Archives is committed to ensuring that everyone has access to this year’s conference. This year we will be ticketing the conference using a ‘pay what you can’ model’ The cost of a full price ticket to support London Metropolitan Archives in covering costs for the conference is £30.00. A suggested minimum payment is £10.00 however we would encourage those who can pay more to do so. Any profits made from the conference will go directly back into the Learning Programme, supporting us to continue our work.
London Metropolitan Archives is also able to offer a limited number of free places to those who are unwaged or on a low income. Please email ask.lma@cityoflondon.gov.uk for more information .
